Color & Concept Designer

Adecco Creative is partnering with a global fashion brand to recruit for a temporary Color & Concept role. This position will be approximately 3-months and hybrid in Midtown Manhattan.

The Concept & Color Designer works in partnership with Design and cross-functional teams to support the development of seasonal concept and color direction for brand product. This role is responsible for translating cultural and fashion insights, as well as brand strategy, into cohesive seasonal themes, color palettes, and product narratives. The Concept & Color Designer collaborates closely with Design, Merchandising, Product Development, and Marketing to help deliver product that aligns with brand objectives, meets customer needs, and supports overall business goals.

• Proficiency in creating clear, elevated, and inspirational presentations, including mood boards, color palettes, storytelling, and trend synthesis.

• Contribute to seasonal concept and trend direction by supporting the development of themes, narratives, and overarching ideas that inform product across categories.
• Research, analyze, and synthesize macro and micro trends—including cultural, social, runway, street style, and competitive insights—into a clear, actionable point of view.
• Curate and maintain trend, concept, and mood imagery, as well as seasonal storytelling materials, in partnership with the Concept team.
• Ensure all work reflects a distinct brand perspective, incorporating brand heritage, and modern luxury relevance while remaining customer- and commercially focused.
• Develop and manage seasonal Leather Goods color palettes for both Retail and Outlet, from initial research through final approval.
• Manage color matching, standards, and naming, in alignment with manager or director approvals, to ensure consistency across categories and key milestones.
• Own product and color naming across multiple categories, coordinating alignment and approvals with leadership.
• Maintain the seasonal color palette process, including physical and digital tools, Illustrator files, server organization, and seasonal updates, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and consistency.

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2 years Concept and Color Design Experience
• Excellent taste level with strong brand sensibility and attention to detail.
• Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator + Photoshop), plus Miro and Keynote.
• Knowledge and passion for fashion, photography, art history, and graphic design are a plus.
• Fashion and/or luxury brand experience is a plus.
