OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANY

Fox TV Stations FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week.

These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network’s national content.

Responsibilities
  • Fill a variety of production roles, including technical director/automation, audio operator/mixing, robotics/camera, chyron/graphics and floor director.
  • Operate live broadcast equipment and understand live production elements, specifically news production.
  • Work in a control room environment and think critically under pressure while broadcasting within strict time constraints.
  • Collaborate as a cohesive team and interact professionally with on‑air staff, off‑air staff, production and technical crews, and management.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years recent experience in the broadcast technician, control room/master control, and news environment in a medium to major size market.
  • Excellent communication skills, strong technical skills (systems, equipment, software, etc.), friendly and collaborative spirit, positive attitude, good judgment.
  • Physical ability to sit and stand for extended periods and reach overhead, bend, squat, and kneel.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, early mornings, weekends, various shifts in a 24/7/365 breaking news environment, overtime, holidays, and varied hours.
  • WNYW/WWOR is a 24/7 operation, and the role will require joining the I.A.T.S.E Local 794 union.
Compensation and Work Schedule

Pay rate: $52.63 per hour. The final offer will depend on education, skills, experience and location, in accordance with the applicable union collective bargaining agreement.
