We are looking for highly organized, creative Associate Designer to support our growing Baby Boy Team. This is a full-time on-site role for an Associate Designer specializing in children's wear (Newborn/ Infant), located in New York, NY. The Associate Designer will assist in creating unique, trend-forward designs aligned with the company's branding for children's clothing. Responsibilities include researching market trends, creating design concepts, developing mood boards, preparing tech packs, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring designs meet quality and production standards.
The role will also include collaborating with licensors and adapting designs to meet market demands and customer needs.
- 2-3 years experience with garment design and trend research for children's wear
- Proficiency and Strong Sketching Skills in design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Strong knowledge of textile selection, garment construction, and apparel production
- Highly Organized with the ability to. multi-task and prioritize in a fast- paced office and ability to work under tight deadlines
- Ability to create detailed tech packs and collaborate with production teams
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with internal teams and external licensors
- Familiarity with the children's apparel market and an understanding of customer demands
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field
- Previous experience in children's apparel design is a plus
