NBC News is seeking a Supervising Producer to join TODAY with Jenna & Sheinelle.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a project‑based position with an estimated duration of 6 months, unless otherwise amended or terminated as deliverables are completed.

Job Duties:

  • Lead the sourcing and booking of lifestyle and human‑interest stories, including relationships, wellness, parenting, pop culture, food, travel, and viral trends.
  • Review, edit and sign‑off on scripts; serve as the primary approver of cut spots.
  • Oversee day‑to‑day show content for all lifestyle and human‑interest segments including concept, production elements and script approvals.
  • Organize brainstorm sessions and evaluate pitches.
  • Oversee and maintain the daily guest schedule, ensuring editorial balance.
  • Oversee editorial content for commerce and integrated sales segments.
  • Identify and develop stories with an eye toward future trends.
  • Manage a team of producers, associate producers and researchers.
  • Serve as leader/mentor in the newsroom.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in editorial and show production at the network level, preferably with daytime television.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of experience.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge and interest in news and current events.
  • Must have strong writing skills, research skills and editorial judgment.
  • Must be willing to work in NYC.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours, under tight deadline pressure, including breaking news.
  • Knowledge of NBC News Policies and Guidelines and Practices.

  • Possess ability to develop story ideas, research and plan segments.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi‑task and prioritize assignments.
  • Team player with a desire to mentor journalists.

Additional Requirements:

  • Hybrid
    : his position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in‑office requirements at any time.

What we’ll offer:
Production Employee (PEP) Regular who works more than 1,000 hours per measurement period:

  • Eligible for 401K after 1,000 hours worked in 12 consecutive months.
  • Eligible for Health and Welfare benefits on 1st day of employment.
  • Eligible to participate in Employee Stock Purchase Program after 90 days of employment.

Salary Range: $125,000 - $175,000
