We produce and distribute premier filmed entertainment and programming through our powerhouse film and television studios, including Universal Pictures, Dream Works Animation, and Focus Features, and the four global television studios under the Universal Studio Group banner, and operate industry‑leading theme parks and experiences around the world through Universal Destinations & Experiences, including Universal Orlando Resort, home to Universal Epic Universe, and Universal Studios Hollywood.

We have a rich tradition of giving back and ensuring our employees have the opportunity to serve their communities. We champion an inclusive culture and strive to attract and develop a talented workforce to create and deliver a wide range of content reflecting our world.

Universal Television Entertainment is responsible for world‑class television entertainment. The division programs and markets content across leading entertainment brands Bravo, NBC and Peacock, and produces over 3,000 hours of television annually through Universal Studio Group, the studio business comprised of Universal Television, UCP, Universal International Studios and Universal Television Alternative Studio. Together, these teams align NBCUniversal’s content and production expertise to inspire global audiences with television that entertains and shapes culture.

Come be a member of the dynamic and tight‑knit team that provides full‑service legal support for NBCUniversal’s late night, specials and live events programming (which includes such flagship properties as Saturday Night Live, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Late Night With Seth Meyers, The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, NBC’s live musicians, The Las Culturistas Culture Awards, NBCUniversal’s iconic holiday programming, and many others).

The work involves providing practical and strategic guidance in an extremely fast‑paced setting throughout all stages of the production process, with a focus on vetting show concepts and creative materials, engaging in risk analysis, as well as negotiating and drafting a wide variety of agreements. This role will report to the head of legal affairs for late night, specials, and live events and will collaborate closely with many functions and senior leadership across NBCUniversal.

Given the nature of the programming that this team supports, weekend, holiday, and evening work will occasionally be required.

  • As a member of the production team, conduct pre‑broadcast review of scripts and creative materials, with a focus on defamation, intellectual property, fair use, music clearance, and privacy in the comedy context, overseeing all production legal issues
  • Advise teams across the NBCUniversal portfolio on legal issues pertaining to late night, specials, and live events, with an emphasis on practical and strategic risk assessment and creative problem solving
  • Identify and implement improvements to forms and processes in collaboration with colleagues across the legal function
  • Handle other matters as needed
