About Us

Culture Con is the leading destination for creative dreamers, doers, and leaders. Through our tentpole conference, year-round programming, and vibrant community, we create and hold space for creative professionals to gather, grow, and push culture toward.

We’re entering an ambitious new chapter and we’re looking for a Content Manager who wants to help define it.

The Role

We’re hiring a Content Manager (~35 hours/week) to drive day-to-day social storytelling across Instagram, Threads, Tik Tok, and Linked In — with a strong emphasis on video-first content.

This person will work closely with the Creative Editorial Director as a right-hand partner across content strategy and execution, helping shape how Culture Con shows up online in real time.

This role is equal parts:

  • Editorial thinker
  • Cultural observer
  • Short-form video editor
  • On-the-ground content capture lead

If you love documenting moments as they happen, understanding why something resonates, and building community through storytelling, this may be the opportunity for you.

What You’ll Do
  • Drive daily management of Instagram, Threads, Tik Tok, and Linked In
  • Develop and execute platform-specific video-first storytelling strategies
  • Plan, shoot, edit, and publish short-form content (Cap Cut, Edits, etc.)
  • Capture live content during tentpole events and community gatherings
  • Identify real-time cultural moments and translate them into social storytelling

Source, remix, and elevate UGC across platforms
  • Draft engaging, brand-aligned social copy
  • Support light graphic design needs in Canva or Figma
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with editorial, creative, and community teams
  • Assist with comment and DM monitoring in partnership with our Community Associate
  • Align weekly with the Creative Editorial Director on priorities and performance
Who You Are
  • 3+ years experience in social media within the entertainment, events, or publishing industry
  • Deeply fluent in short-form video culture
  • Obsessed with storytelling and audience psychology
  • Proactive (you don’t wait to be told what to capture)
  • Comfortable being on-camera when needed
  • Fast but thoughtful
  • Collaborative and communicative
  • Aligned with Culture Con’s commitment to centering BIPOC creatives, professionals, entrepreneurs
Bonus If You…
  • Have captured live event content before
  • Have experience building editorial franchises (not just one-off posts)
  • Think in systems and not just single pieces of content
  • Care about shaping narrative and not just growing metrics (although those are important, too)

  • Your cover letter
  • Portfolio or links to relevant social accounts
