Job DescriptionNBC News is seeking a Supervising Producer to join TODAY with Jenna & Sheinelle.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a project‑based position with an estimated duration of 6 months, unless otherwise amended or terminated as deliverables are completed.
- Lead the sourcing and booking of lifestyle and human‑interest stories, including relationships, wellness, parenting, pop culture, food, travel, and viral trends
- Review, edit and sign‑off on scripts; serve as the primary approver of cut spots
- Oversee day‑to‑day show content for all lifestyle and human‑interest segments including concept, production elements and script approvals.
- Organize brainstorm sessions and evaluate pitches
- Oversee and maintain the daily guest schedule, ensuring editorial balance
- Oversee editorial content for commerce and integrated sales segments
- Identify and develop stories with an eye toward future trends
- Manage a team of producers, associate producers and researchers
- Serve as leader/mentor in the newsroom
- 5+ years of experience in editorial and show production at the network level, preferably with daytime television
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of experience
- Demonstrate strong knowledge and interest in news and current events
- Must have strong writing skills, research skills and editorial judgment
- Must be willing to work in NYC
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, under tight deadline pressure, including breaking news
- Knowledge of NBC News Policies and Guidelines and Practices
- Exceptional editorial skills
- Expertise in reviewing, editing, and clearing cut spots for broadcast
- Passionate about human‑interest storytelling and lifestyle content
- Possess ability to develop story ideas, research and plan segments
- Excellent interpersonal skills and storytelling ability
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi‑task and prioritize assignments
- Team player with a desire to mentor journalists

: his position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in‑office requirements at any time.
Production Employee (PEP) Regular
- Eligible for 401K after 1,000 hours worked in 12 consecutive months
- Eligible for Health and Welfare benefits on 1st day of employment
- Eligible to participate in Employee Stock Purchase Program after 90 days of employment
$125,000 - $175,000
