Description Betches Sports is seeking a Freelance Social Video Creator to concept, produce, and edit short-form video content across Tik Tok, Instagram Reels, and You Tube Shorts. This role goes beyond editing videos. You will help shape the voice, pacing, and energy of Betches Sports across platforms. That means creating original short-form video, developing memes and graphics, managing real-time coverage, contributing to posting calendars, and actively participating in the fan conversation.

This is not about copying trends or pumping out generic highlight clips. It’s about original ideas, strong POVs, and making sports content that feels unmistakably Betches.

• Content Creation:
  Concept, shoot, edit, and publish short-form social video across Tik Tok, Instagram Reels, and You Tube Shorts.
• Create complementary social formats including memes, graphics, carousels, caption-driven posts, and trend-reactive content.
• Serve as a recurring on-camera personality delivering reactions, takes, breakdowns, and commentary in a way that feels smart, funny, and distinctly Betches.
• Translate breaking sports news, tentpole moments, and live storylines into timely, culturally fluent content.
• Maintain a consistent Betches Sports voice: funny, informed, opinionated, and self-aware.
• Real-Time Coverage:
  Provide reactive coverage for predetermined games and major sports moments, including select nights and weekends.
• Identify moments worth amplifying in real time and execute quickly.
• Sports POV & Cultural Fluency:
  Bring deep knowledge of major sports leagues, athletes, storylines, and fan behavior (especially NFL, NBA, WNBA, college sports, and pop-culture-adjacent sports moments).
• Identify which sports stories are internet stories—and know how to frame them for a women-first, culture-forward audience.
• Proactively pitch video ideas tied to the sports calendar, social chatter, and breaking news.
• Community & Engagement:
  Engage with comments and fan conversations to reinforce brand voice.
• Monitor social chatter and fan sentiment to inform content decisions.
• Create content designed to drive engagement, debate, saves, shares, and group chat moments—not just passive views.

Required

• Deep sports knowledge and genuine sports fandom — this is the #1 requirement. You follow games, athletes, storylines, and online discourse daily.
• 3–5+ years of experience creating short-form social video, ideally for sports, media, or internet-first brands.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Cap Cut, Final Cut Pro, or similar editing tools.
• Strong instincts for pacing, captions, framing, audio, and storytelling optimized for mobile and short attention spans.
• Comfortable with creator-style, lo-fi production when it serves the moment—this does not need to feel overly polished.
• Expert understanding of Tik Tok and Instagram, especially what works right now in sports content.
• Ability to move fast, react to live moments, and hit tight turnarounds.
• Bonus: experience with motion graphics, After Effects, or advanced captioning workflows.

• Experience working with sports media, digital publishers, or creator-led brands.
• Demonstrated on-camera experience delivering commentary, reactions, or personality-driven content in a short-form format.
• Familiarity with social analytics and performance-driven iteration.
