Our client is a fast-growing beauty and haircare brand known for bold, creative, trend-driven storytelling and strong retail presence across major national retailers. This role is ideal for a highly conceptual creative leader with strong beauty or CPG experience who thrives in a fast-paced, social-first environment. The Art Director will oversee visual execution across digital, packaging, campaigns, product launches, and retailer marketing while helping evolve the overall brand aesthetic.
This role blends hands‑on design leadership with mentorship, creative direction, and campaign ownership from concept through execution. The ideal candidate understands Gen Z beauty culture, social content trends, packaging aesthetics, and how to balance an elevated taste level with speed and execution.
- Lead and art direct campaigns across digital, social, packaging, retail, and brand marketing channels
- Partner closely with Creative leadership to execute and evolve the brand vision
- Mentor and guide a junior creative team while elevating overall creative quality
- Concept and oversee photo and video shoots for product launches and campaigns
- Develop mood boards, design systems, templates, and visual storytelling assets
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, copy, operations, and external partners
- Ensure all creative work is on brand, trend-aware, visually polished, and production‑ready
- Support packaging reviews, line extensions, and retailer creative initiatives
- Translate social‑first thinking into platform‑specific creative for Tik Tok, Instagram, Reels, and emerging channels
- Travel periodically for campaign shoots and creative production, including shoots in Los Angeles
- 7+ years of experience in Art Direction, Graphic Design, or Brand Creative roles
- Beauty, fashion, lifestyle, or CPG brand experience strongly preferred
- Strong portfolio showcasing campaign development, visual storytelling, and design execution
- Experience leading or mentoring designers in a fast‑paced environment
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and In Design
- Strong understanding of social content trends and Gen Z‑focused branding
- Experience overseeing both digital and packaging creative initiatives
- Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Packaging production, line review, print, or color matching experience is a major plus
- Experience with 2D or 3D rendering is a plus
- Start Date/Duration: Starting ASAP
- Hours/Week: 40 Hours/Week
- Onsite/Offsite: Hybrid onsite role in Tampa, FL, working onsite roughly 4 days/week
