Position OverviewBMG is seeking a skilled and proactive Production Technician to join our New York City technical operations team. This role is essential to the successful execution of live broadcasts, ensuring all technical systems—including video, audio, and transmission—are configured, tested, and operating at peak performance. The ideal candidate has a deep technical understanding of live multi-camera workflows and thrives in high-pressure, live-to-air environments.

- Configure and operate video switchers, routers, and terminal gear for live broadcasts
- Setup and strike cameras, lighting, and audio equipment for studio and location shoots
- Manage transmission paths including satellite, fiber, and IP-based delivery systems
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of broadcast hardware and software
- Support remote productions through flypack deployment and mobile unit integration
- 3+ years of technical experience in live broadcast or event production
- Proficiency with professional camera systems, video switchers (Ross, Sony), and audio consoles
- Solid understanding of signal flow, IP networking, and broadcast engineering standards
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform technical setups in various environments
