About the Role

On‑call part‑time Video Editor (various shifts as needed) to create compelling, shareable videos for the New York Post video team.

• Edit videos for digital platforms using original footage, stock footage, and social media content.
• Work autonomously in a fast‑paced environment.
• Be knowledgeable across a variety of topic areas from national news, trends, and tabloid fare.
• Write short compelling headlines, video descriptions, and short‑form scripts; conduct quick research on various topics.

• 3‑5 years experience editing short‑form video for digital outlets.
• Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Premiere.
• Ability to color‑correct, mix audio, and select music to match the tone and style of the story.
• Experience with multicam editing; work with and without producers.
• Excited about new types of multimedia storytelling and able to create digital video in a fast‑paced newsroom with weekly deadlines.
• Aware of current events across a broad range of topics and able to pitch ideas.
• Organized, team‑player, and able to meet daily deadlines.
• Motion graphics and simple animation experience a plus; knowledge of post‑production workflow a plus.

• May be required to come on‑site to Midtown, NYC.
• Temporary engagement through a third‑party vendor; payroll handled by vendor.
• Salary: $25–$40 per hour based on experience.
