As a Digital PR Intern, you’ll help our clients get featured in the news by identifying journalist requests, analyzing opportunities, and drafting expert quotes that showcase their subject matter expertise. You’ll work closely with the Head of Digital PR and Digital PR Associates to match client insights with trending stories and ensure impactful media coverage.

Required Skills and Experience
  • Junior/Senior in college studying Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, Journalism
    , or a related field, graduating in Fall 2026 (Graduate students eligible)
  • Excellent command of the written English language with impeccable attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication and relationship‑building skills
  • Advanced internet research skills; you should be a Google Master
  • Knowledge with Google Docs (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Tech‑savvy with AI tools, including experience building and using custom GPTs
  • Ability to manage projects independently while working as part of a collaborative team
  • Strong interest in news, media trends, and thought leadership
Preferred Experience
  • Previous relevant industry experience
  • Coursework or experience in writing/PR, or journalism
  • Hands‑on experience with agency‑type client work
  • Background with AI use or related coursework
Responsibilities
  • Monitor breaking, trending, and cyclical news daily to identify timely opportunities for client thought leadership
  • Review and analyze client subject matter expertise to draft high‑quality, media‑ready quotes
  • Match journalist requests with the right client opportunities
  • Collaborate with clients to send opportunities and gather relevant insights
  • Maintain organized records of opportunities, quotes, and media outreach
  • Leverage AI at each step in your process, using ChatGPT, custom GPTs, and other tools to scale research, drafting, and reporting
  • Own 1–3 client opportunities at a time, from discovery to media submission
  • Communicate regularly with the Head of Digital PR and DPR associates on priorities and progress
KPIs
  • Secure a minimum of 6+ client placements per month
  • Successfully own and manage 1–3 client opportunities at any given time
  • Deliver timely, high‑quality responses to journalist requests
Work Schedule
  • 15–20 hours per week
  • Preferred block of at least 3–4 hours in the early morning (U.S. time) Monday–Thursday to align with journalist deadlines and client needs
  • Maintain consistent communication with the Head of Digital PR during working hours
  • $13/hour average pay and/or college credit
  • Hands‑on experience with thought leadership PR and client‑facing work
  • Mentorship from senior PR professionals
