Production Associate; Social Media Editor

ABC News’ “20/20” award-winning prime-time news magazine is hiring a PA/Social Media Editor to provide editorialandlogistical support for all aspects of production. ThePA will work directly with producers, editors, crews,andtalent.

ThePA's top responsibilities, when working on a story, will include administrative tasks, gathering media,and providing research to producers.

When working on digital initiatives, the PA will produce vertical video, translate broadcast episodes into social rollouts,andedit broadcast material into other formats.

Candidates will be expected to join breaking news specials for the network, when necessary.

• Excellent communication and organization skills, attention to detail is essential
• Strong knowledge of archival and digital resources for video andstill images
• Basic understanding of production technology in both pre- andpost- production, such as Avid/Adobe
• Strong skills in navigating social media and creating content

• Basic knowledge of non-linear editing (Avid/Adobe) is a plus
• Basic editing skills on Avid is a plus

• Bachelor’s Degree

The hiring range for this position in New York is $56,600 - $75,900 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
