Head of Content & Community
Full-time, hybrid role. Meatpacking District, NYC.
Start date:
Early to mid summer 2026.
Reports to:
Managing Director.
R&L is a not‑for‑profit record store, café and event space opening Fall/Winter 2026 in the legendary Florent space in NYC’s Meatpacking District. We exist to champion music, build community, and create a space where culture and conversation thrive.
Role OverviewOwn the R&L brand from day one. Build the website, launch social channels, develop an editorial voice, and forge the community partnerships that make R&L NYC’s most talked‑about cultural destination before we even open the doors. This is a rare opportunity to build an editorial and content operation from scratch at a new cultural institution. You’ll define our voice, produce the content, and grow the audience—across digital, social, video, and press—from zero to opening day and beyond.
You’ll manage a small network of freelance contributors and work closely with the Managing Director.
