The New York Post is seeking a Sports Designer/Copy Editor to elevate our sports coverage. Join a passionate team of sports enthusiasts who live and breathe the game, creating compelling visual stories for print, digital, and multimedia formats.

Responsibilities- Daily create visually compelling pages for the print sports section using the Methode publishing system and Adobe InDesign.
- Develop graphics, incorporate photos, and use other design elements to enhance storytelling on sports pages.
- Edit and proofread sports articles—including game stories, features, columns, and breaking news—for grammar, punctuation, spelling, and style.
- Write accurate and entertaining headlines that capture the New York Post voice.
- Stay updated with design trends and share innovative ideas.
- 4+ years of experience in print media, with at least 2 years focused on sports.
- Strong layout and design skills.
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and ability to work with the Methode publishing platform.
- Exceptional attention to detail to ensure error‑free, polished designs and pages.
- Excellent copy‑editing abilities and a keen eye for news.
- Proven skill in writing accurate, attention‑grabbing headlines.
- Collaboration in a fast‑paced environment.
- Willingness to work hard, be proactive, and handle multiple tasks under deadline pressure.
- Strong interest and knowledge of sports, especially New York teams.
- Must be able to work nights and weekends. The on‑site work model requires the shift to be 4 p.m.–12 a.m. EST and one weekend day per week.
Base Pay Range: $75,000 – $85,000. Benefits include a comprehensive package covering health, retirement, wellbeing, and more.
