NBC News NOW is seeking an Associate Producer to join our NBC News Daily team. This position will work an 8am - 4pm shift on a program airing across streaming platforms and NBC affiliates live in the afternoon. We are looking for associate producers who thrive in a fast‑paced, quickly changing and deadline‑driven team environment.

Requirements:- Editing video – including day‑of‑air packages – and graphic elements for a live show on a tight deadline.
- Collaborating with producers and correspondents to research, write and produce strong editorial copy with speed and accuracy in a fast‑paced environment.
- Working closely with EP, producers, correspondents, and anchors.
- Pitch the most relevant, timely and compelling ideas for day‑of and future segments.
- Quality check video content.
- Keep senior producers and the EP up to date with daily news development of assigned stories.
- Must be willing and able to work an 8am-4pm ET, Monday – Friday shift.
- Have 2+ years of experience in broadcast, streaming, or cable news – preferably live daily shows or in and around a control room.
- Comfortable editing digital video and eager to improve skills.
- Desire a career in journalism and stay up on the news across multiple subject areas.
- Bring big ideas and strong journalistic writing and research skills.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience.
- Work calmly under intense deadlines to finish a project.
- Check and double‑check work to ensure accuracy.
- Willing and able to work in New York, New York.
Qualifications:
- Thrive in a collaborative team environment.
- Pay attention to detail.
- Have prior experience shooting in the field on DSLR cameras.
- Prior video editing experience, ideally in both Avid and Premiere.
- Possess thorough knowledge of current events.
- Bring journalistic writing and research skills to life.
- Familiar with iNEWS.
- Live for moments when news is breaking and time to air is short.
- Hybrid: This position is designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The company reserves the right to change the in‑office requirement at any time.

Salary range: $75,000 – $85,000
