Responsibilities

  • Collaborative team member assisting in technical design and product development, working closely with design team to ensure fit, quality standards and timely arrival.
  • Actively participate in or conduct fittings with fit model, also being able to fit on the dress form when necessary.
  • Update tech packs with detailed and clear fit comments to overseas factories.
  • Accurately measure new fit sample and update Spec Sheets Accordingly.
  • Follow T&A calendar to help follow production and fit styles from development through to TOP and QC stage.
  • Active in all communication and follow-up related to all styles every season. Direct daily communication with factories, displaying strong communication skills to proactively resolve issues.
  • Improve fit and quality issues and solve problems both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Organize and prioritize tasks to effectively maintain production timeline.
Requirements
  • 4-6+ years’ experience in technical design or related field
  • College degree in fashion-related field.
  • Must be able to work in an entrepreneurial environment and be a self-starter
  • Ability to demonstrate proactive problems solving skills
  • Strong work ethic with high attention to detail
  • Experience with the fitting process from development stage through TOP and QC.
  • Able to conduct fittings on dress form and/or model with a good “eye” for fit
  • Able to clearly communicate fit comments both verbally and visually
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of fit in soft wovens and knits (dress experience preferred and leather goods is a plus),
  • Solid understanding of pattern making, construction, fabrications and workmanship (QC)
  • Able to effectively measure garments and provide complete spec sheets with knowledge of appropriate POM’s necessary to include for each style
  • Well versed in Microsoft Excel
  • Collaborator and ability to work Cross-functionally with Design, Production, Wholesale, E-commerce and Marketing Team
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency
  • Strong time management and organizational skills to establish priorities and meet deadlines
