Location: New York
The Faulkner Focus, a flagship program of Fox News Media, is seeking a highly motivated, dynamic, and proven Line Producer to join its leadership team.
In this role, you will help oversee the planning and execution of our daytime news program, ensuring editorial excellence and swift responses to breaking news. You will have an influential voice in assigning reporters and pitching compelling guest segments, planning coverage around breaking events, and leading the newsroom team.
Responsibilities- Participate in editorial decisions for content for the show - day of and future
- Be creative in finding and producing elements (sound and graphics) to best tell a story
- Assist in copyediting scripts before air
- Pitch daily stories for the next day’s program
- Participate in special projects or coverage involving the program
- Set editorial and production standards and provide leadership in the newsroom
- Manage, mentor, and collaborate with show staff, including bookers, writers, APs, and PA's
- Look ahead and help plan coverage
- Handle breaking news
- Cooperate and communicate with anchors and producing team to ensure they receive necessary research and elements
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience
- Newsroom experience and line producing a television newscast
- Experience overseeing teams of writers, APs, assignment editors, and producers
- Knowledge and enthusiasm for current events and politics
- Proven track record of leadership and newscast rating growth
- Excellent organizational and managerial skills and ability to create an environment that fosters teamwork
- Decisive and skilled management of a control room
- Exceptional editorial skills: ability to recognize stories with high potential for compelling television
- Detail-oriented and able to work under pressure and meet multiple daily deadlines

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location, is $83,.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
