Show Director

Fox News Media operates the FOX News Channel (FNC), FOX Business Network (FBN), FOX News Digital, FOX News Audio, FOX News Books, FOX Nation, FOX News International, and FOX Weather. It reaches 200 million people each month.

The Television Director will oversee live and live-to-tape news, business, and weather programs, as well as major special events. The role includes directing control room operations, collaborating with producers, and contributing to creative development of new shows.

• Lead the control room team in flawless execution of live news and high-stakes events.
• Collaborate with editorial and production teams to enhance show aesthetics and broadcast quality.
• Participate in the architectural phase of new programming, including studio planning, camera blocking, and full-scale launches.
• Make rapid, informed decisions during breaking news, maintaining calm leadership.
• Work with on-air talent, engineers, and technical staff to ensure top visual and audio standards.

• 5+ years of professional experience directing live television news and specials.
• Proficiency in conventional and automation directing;
  Technical Director skills are a significant plus.
• Strong visual storytelling, creative instincts, and ability to take calculated risks to enhance viewer experience.
• Core knowledge of current events and daily news.
• Must be able to work all shifts, including nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
• Available demo reel of directing work may be requested.

• Base salary: $160,000–$165,000 annually (based on education, skills, experience, and location).
