The Whitney seeks an Event Marketing Inter
n for the Fall 2026 semester.
- Support production tasks for Member Nights and Free Friday Nights, including, but not limited to, creative programming, inventory tracking, drafting run of show and logistical documents, and audience reporting.
- Generate email marketing assets for events.
- Provide on-site support for select Member Nights and Free Friday Nights during the internship term.
- Support scheduling for Whitney events and seasonal tracking for broader NYC arts programming.
- Conduct peer institution research.
- Collect audience analyses for email marketing and event attendance.
Compensation: $3,000 stipend
Term:
Fall 2026 (September 15 – December 5, 2026)
Schedule:
PT (16–21 hours/week)
Format:
The internship is hybrid, with some onsite work.

- Detail-oriented, strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in, or willingness to learn, digital project management and CRM tools such as Microsoft Office, Asana, and Mail Chimp.
- Strong interest in events and programming at arts and cultural institutions.
The Whitney Museum of American Art, founded in 1930 by the artist and philanthropist Gertrude Vanderbilt Whitney, houses the foremost collection of American art from the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. From her vision arose the Whitney Museum of American Art, which has been championing the most innovative art of the United States for 86 years. The core of the Whitney’s mission is to collect, preserve, interpret, and exhibit American art of our time and serve a wide variety of audiences in celebration of the complexity and diversity of art and culture in the United States.
