Location: New York
High Point Design, a division of The Moret Group, is looking to add a full-time Design Assistant to our team! This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and creative early-career designer to gain experience and grow their career within the fashion industry.
This is a hybrid position based in our New York, NY office.
You Will:- Assist designers with development packs, line sheets, and other artwork needs
- Manage submissions and approvals of CADs and samples for licensed product
- Handle revisions based on internal, licensor, or buyer feedback
- Uphold consistency across brands and product lines
- Communicate clearly with internal teams, licensors, and overseas factories
- Effectively manage time and prioritize multiple projects according to deadlines
- Order & distribute seasonal color standards, assembling swatch palettes
- Manage daily package handling & distribution
- Organize product boards, digital files, design department spaces and sample library
- Support the design director and design team members with tasks as needed
- Gain valuable knowledge about designing for socks, slippers, and packaging
- Bachelor's or Associate’s degree in Graphic Design, Fashion Design, or related field; recent graduates encouraged to apply
- Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills and consider yourself detail-oriented
- Capability to work independently and think proactively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and Google equivalents
- Strong sense of color, material, layout, typography, and aesthetic
- Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator
- Deeper proficiency in Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop
- Interest in fashion, trend cycles, textiles, knits, hosiery, etc.
- Prior work, internship, or freelance work experience
