Position: Design Assistant / Junior Designer
Location: New York

High Point Design, a division of The Moret Group, is looking to add a full-time Design Assistant to our team! This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and creative early-career designer to gain experience and grow their career within the fashion industry.

This is a hybrid position based in our New York, NY office.

You Will:
  • Assist designers with development packs, line sheets, and other artwork needs
  • Manage submissions and approvals of CADs and samples for licensed product
  • Handle revisions based on internal, licensor, or buyer feedback
  • Uphold consistency across brands and product lines
  • Communicate clearly with internal teams, licensors, and overseas factories
  • Effectively manage time and prioritize multiple projects according to deadlines
  • Order & distribute seasonal color standards, assembling swatch palettes
  • Manage daily package handling & distribution
  • Organize product boards, digital files, design department spaces and sample library
  • Support the design director and design team members with tasks as needed
  • Gain valuable knowledge about designing for socks, slippers, and packaging
You Have:
  • Bachelor's or Associate’s degree in Graphic Design, Fashion Design, or related field; recent graduates encouraged to apply
  • Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills and consider yourself detail-oriented
  • Capability to work independently and think proactively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and Google equivalents
  • Strong sense of color, material, layout, typography, and aesthetic
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator
Preferred:
  • Deeper proficiency in Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop
  • Interest in fashion, trend cycles, textiles, knits, hosiery, etc.
  • Prior work, internship, or freelance work experience
