Senior Product Designer

Optomi, in partnership with a global digital media company, is looking for a Senior Product Designer to join the product design team. This remote role operates on West Coast hours and is centered around creating a design system that keeps products and teams aligned.

Base pay range: $60.00/hr - $63.00/hr

• Working closely with designers, engineers, and brand teams to create clear, consistent design experiences.
• Taking ownership of design documentation systems from the ground up.
• Creating design guidelines that are practical and easy to follow.
• Collaborating with a team that focuses on quality and consistency.

• A senior‑level product designer with strong skills in visual design, typography, and design systems.
• Proven experience building or contributing to design systems and documentation.
• Advanced knowledge of Figma as the primary design tool.
• Experience using Webflow to build and host documentation sites.
• Excellent communication and storytelling abilities that bring design guidelines to life.
• A portfolio that highlights both strong product design work and well‑crafted documentation examples.

• Background in motion design, illustration, or brand expression.
• Understanding of front‑end design translation for engineers.
• Experience in tech, enterprise, or media environments is a plus but not required.

• Create and maintain design documentation for color, typography, components, and usage guides.
• Work closely with brand designers, illustrators, product designers, and design system engineers.
• Keep product design aligned with brand identity and overall direction.
• Develop examples and demos that clearly show how design principles should be applied.
• Collaborate with Accessibility and Content teams to ensure consistency and inclusivity.
• Build scalable documentation systems that make guidelines easy to use and understand.
