Warner Bros. Discovery is a global media company that builds stories for audiences worldwide. The Company is looking for a writer to join CNN International’s “Quest Means Business” team.
Role SummaryCNN International is seeking a writer for Quest Means Business to deliver smart, engaging scripts that transform complex business stories into bold, distinctive television.
Role Accountabilities- Research, and write compelling, conversational anchor copy for CNNI newscasts.
- Collaborate with producers on content, formatting scripts, viewing video and graphic elements, and finding relevant sources.
- Write stories on a variety of topics, including leading international and business news.
- Effectively coordinate script, live shot and interview elements with APs and/or producer.
- Communicate effectively with remote teams in Atlanta/London.
- Support New York anchors.
- Must have a BA or equivalent work experience.
- At least one year of experience as a full‑time newsroom writer or successful completion of writer training in a CNN newsroom.
- The candidate must have a thorough understanding and proven experience in handling international stories.
- Successful candidates will demonstrate an active interest in business news.
- Must have the flexibility to work different shifts, including evenings, overnights and weekends.
Pay Range: $70,000.00 – $ salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short‑ and long‑term incentives, and program‑specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
