Handbag Design Department – Spec & Production Associate

The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in the Handbag Design Department to support design, product development, and production teams.

Responsibilities
  • Work with Design, PD, and Merchandising teams to understand deliverables and meet deadlines for creating and passing product specs for all stages of development—concept through production.
  • Assist in prototype rounds—work collaboratively with the designer to ensure that all specs reflect the designer's intentions and verify accuracy of sketches & dimensions.
  • Assist the Tech Designer and Sr Tech Designer with final bulk pass‑off, updating and correcting product specs and ensuring all changes after market are approved.
  • Maintain consistency of product specs across all factories and seasons.
  • Review and correct post‑market samples.
  • Create and maintain digital Design detail and standards libraries.
  • Research product functionality trends across the market.
  • Create CAD and artwork in Illustrator and Photoshop as needed.
  • Organize and facilitate presentations, set up and clean up design workroom.
Qualifications
  • Strong communication and email skills.
  • Detailed note‑taking and organizational skills.
  • Construction knowledge preferred.
  • Flexibility to work in‑office as needed based on the development calendar.
  • College degree in fashion design or a related field.
  • Illustrator and Photoshop experience required.
  • Experience with Raspberry AI, Adobe Firefly AI, or other product design AI a plus.
  • Substance 3D experience a plus.
  • Microsoft Excel experience a plus.
  • Minimum 0‑3 years of relevant experience.
