A well-established and highly respected branding and design agency is seeking an experienced Design Director to join its talented team in New York. Renowned for creating strategically driven brand identities and compelling visual experiences across a diverse portfolio of clients, the studio combines thoughtful design with commercial insight to deliver work that makes a lasting impact.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an accomplished creative leader who is passionate about developing exceptional design while mentoring and inspiring those around them. Working closely with the Creative Director, you will lead multiple project teams simultaneously, shaping creative direction from initial strategy through to final execution. This is a hands‑on role, requiring someone who enjoys being actively involved in the creative process as well as leading it.
Alongside directing project teams, you will continue to develop design concepts, contribute creatively throughout each stage of a project, and ensure the highest standard of execution from idea through to delivery.

Key Responsibilities:- Lead the creative direction of multiple branding and identity projects
- Manage and mentor project teams, providing creative guidance and feedback
- Develop creative briefs and oversee concept development
- Present work to clients and build long‑term relationships
- Ensure projects are delivered to the highest creative standards, on time and within scope
- Collaborate closely with strategy, design, and leadership teams
- Help evolve studio processes, design standards, and creative excellence
- Bachelor’s degree in Design or related discipline
- Significant experience within a branding or creative agency
- Strong portfolio demonstrating brand identity and creative leadership
- Experience managing multiple projects and creative teams
- Excellent client presentation and communication skills
- Strong understanding of digital, print, and experiential design
- Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Figma
