Overview
Senior Designer of Visual Merchandising to partner with our client s hallmark creative team. Hybrid onsite in midtown Manhattan. This senior role translates luxury brand DNA into immersive physical and digital retail destinations for assigned luxury portfolios, working across a multi-brand creative framework and partnering with marketing and creative operations to drive the full creative lifecycle from briefs to deliverables. Responsibilities include concepting 3D displays, managing timelines, delivering Design Turn Over (DTO), and supervising vendor production and local installations when appropriate.
The role balances creative visual design with end-to-end operational execution.
This role is part of a team that drives brand visibility in the US through limited-life, high-impact physical experiences. The team leads end-to-end strategy, design, and execution of seasonal campaigns for major holidays and product launches, producing installations ranging from beauty outposts and visual week takeovers to immersive consumer pop-ups.
Responsibilities- Cross Functional
Collaboration:
Collaborate with brand partners to execute briefs and deliver physical assets aligned with omni-campaign goals. - 3D Concepting & Visual Design:
Design and model highly creative 3D retailer destinations (Visual Weeks, In-Posts), custom window displays, seasonal holiday programs, and brand pop-ups/outposts/events. - Design Turn Overs (DTOs):
Author and package detailed DTO specifications including complex dimensions, localized die-lines, and detailed material callouts for manufacturing handoff. - Vendor Coordination & Local Installs:
Directly coordinate with print, production and installation vendors; request vendor fabrication quotes; manage print proofs; review prototypes; supervise local visual installation ensuring luxury-grade execution. Own end-to-end professional photography shoot process of key projects used to showcase brand executions for global review. - Visual Asset Archiving & Global Showcasing:
Direct and own the professional photography process used to showcase best-in-class executions for global review. - End-to-End Project Administration:
Manage the full operational lifecycle of assigned projects — share progression with key stakeholders for approval, maintain strict timelines, track budgets, and manage vendor development/production to deliver designs within allocations.
- Experience:
8+ years of related experience in luxury 3D retail design, industrial design, or visual merchandising. - Software Mastery:
Expert-level proficiency in 3D modeling/rendering software (Sketch Up, VRay/Keyshot) and Adobe Creative Suite. - Hands-on Ownership:
Strong ability to balance high-level creative concepting with on-site, physical build coordination and daily administrative tasks under rapid turnaround times. - Organizational Agility:
Proven ability to manage corporate relationships, multiple cross-functional projects, and influence partners for decision making.
The anticipated salary range for this role is $100,000 - $119,000 annually. Ranges are based on factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, candidate experience, and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
