Broadcast Associate, CBS Weekend News; NY

Responsibilities

• BAs will train to learn day‑of package producing skills; how to gather, coordinate editorial and own all aspects of a day‑of news piece.
• Assist the senior producer with all aspects of production – from daily news gathering, to coordinating graphics, to producing reports and stories.
• Pitch relevant, timely, and compelling ideas for day‑of and future stories.
• Quality check all video content.

• You have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience.
• You can work under deadline pressure.
• You are willing to work in our New York Broadcast Center, from 10 a.m.–7 p.m., Wednesday–Sunday.
• You can work holidays and additional hours with little or no notice.
• You are legally authorized to work in the United States.

• You’ve got strong interpersonal skills.
• You’re an enthusiastic learner with solid visual sensibility.
• You can multi‑task and prioritize assignments.

Hiring Salary Range: $45,000.00 – 50,000.00.

The hiring salary range applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay depends on various factors such as location, market demand, experience, training, and education.
