Location: New York
Overview
The Registrar Intern will participate in permanent collection and exhibition management projects. The internship engages candidates in museum registration tasks, supporting the Registrars and Collections Database Manager with upcoming exhibitions, permanent collection inventory, condition reporting, digitizing acquisition files, database cleanup, and other permanent collection related projects.
Key Details- Compensation: $5,040 stipend
- Term: 14 weeks (September 14–December 18, 2026)
- Schedule: 20 hours/week

- Support Registrars and the Collections Database Manager with ongoing projects related to the permanent collection and exhibitions.
- Assist with inventory, condition reporting, digitization of acquisition files, and database cleanup.
- Contribute to various permanent collection related projects as assigned.
- Designed for undergraduate and graduate students majoring/minoring in museum studies or a related field.
- Interest in fine art registration and cataloging; strong attention to detail; ability to work with databases; good research skills; knowledge of the museum’s historical collecting focus.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, work in a chilled windowless storage environment, work independently, and communicate progress and needs to complete assigned projects.
