Overview

FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas (DMAs) and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. The stations distribute sports, entertainment and syndicated content and produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week.

• Fill a variety of production roles including, but not limited to, technical director/automation, audio operator/mixing, robotics/camera, chyron/graphics and floor director. Operate live broadcast equipment in a control room environment and think critically under pressure while broadcasting within strict time constraints. Work as a cohesive team and interact professionally with on-air staff, off-air staff, production and technical crews and management.

• Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in the broadcast technician, control room/master control and news environment in a medium to major size market. Excellent communication skills and strong technical skills (systems, equipment, software, etc.). Friendly and collaborative spirit with a positive attitude and good judgement.
• Ability to sit and stand for extended periods; ability to reach overhead, bend, squat and kneel.
• WNYW/WWOR is a 24/7 operation. Flexibility in scheduling evenings, early mornings, weekends and all shifts in a 24/7/365 breaking news environment. Ability to work overtime, holidays and varied hours.
• Must be willing to join I.A.T.S.E Local 794 union.
• Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, pay is $52.63 per hour, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience and the applicable union collective bargaining agreement.
