Senior Producer - NBC Nightly News

NBC Nightly News is seeking a Senior Producer with exceptional editorial judgment, a deep commitment to journalistic excellence, and a proven ability to lead and inspire teams. This role demands a dynamic newsroom leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-stakes news environment. The Senior Producer will oversee multiple pieces per day in the daily broadcast, guiding the correspondent and producing team.

They should have sharp news judgment, excellent writing skills, and a great eye for impactful visuals.

Role Type:
Full-time

• Minimum 10 years of experience in news, preferably at the national network level
• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or a related field
• Extensive experience writing and producing tape packages.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across senior executives, show producers, bureau chiefs, correspondents, and production teams
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior staff
• Strong leadership abilities, deep production expertise, and excellent broadcast writing skills
• Must be willing to work in-office Tuesday-Saturday in New York, NY
• Availability to work evenings, holidays, and during breaking news events as needed
