Role OverviewDanarys New York is seeking a highly organized
Production Assistant
to support our Production
Manager in overseeing the execution of client orders and coordinating with the workroom. This role is ideal for someone interested in the operational side of luxury fashion and couture garmentproduction.
The position involves tracking orders, assisting with fittings, coordinating materials, and helping ensure garments move smoothly through the production process.
Key Responsibilities Production Coordination- Assist the Production
Manager in tracking all active client orders - Maintainproductioncalendars and delivery timelines
- Monitor progress of garments through cutting, embroidery, sewing, and finishing
- Coordinate with pattern makers, seamstresses, and embroiderers
- Ensure correct fabrics, trims, and patterns are available for each order
- Assist with garment preparation for fittings
- Maintain detailed records of client measurements, customization notes, and design changes
- Update internal order sheets andproductionlogs
- Track fabric usage and inventory related to orders
- Assist during fittings by taking notes and documenting changes
- Photograph garments and details forproductionrecords
- Prepare garments for client pick-ups or shipping
- Assist in checking finished garments for accuracy and finishing standards
- Flagproductionissues early to the Production Manager
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Interest in fashionproductionor garment construction
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Comfortable working in a small, hands-on team environment
- Basic knowledge of fabrics, sewing, or pattern making is a plus
- Proficiency in Google Sheets / Excel preferred
- Must be a Fashion graduate
- Experience in a fashion studio, atelier, orproductionenvironment is required
- Must be able to commute in person to our NYC atelier Monday - Friday 9-5.
