The Gallery Players in Park Slope is seeking a sound designer and a props designer for its upcoming non-equity production of PRISCILLA, QUEEN OF THE DESERT - THE MUSICAL. Book by Stephan Elliott and Allan Scott. Based on the Latent Image/Specific Films motion picture distributed by MGM Inc. Director, Ryan Hendricks. Producer, Dominic Cuskern.
The show runs from September 18th
- October 4th. Rehearsals start in early August and will be in the evening during the week and in the daytime on weekends. Tech will start on Friday, September 11th from 7-11PM. It will continue on Saturday, September 12th and Sunday, September 13th. These are our 10 hour days. Monday is typically our day off. Dress rehearsals will be on the Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evening prior to the opening on Friday the 18th.
Actors will be using mics so the sound designer should be familiar with digital mixing consoles and programming scenes as well as experience setting up and mixing band and on stage monitors. The props designer needs to be a creative "can do" person.
There is a one time stipend of $400.
