Video Editor & Camera Operator — Part-Time / Project-Based
We’re hiring at Tokat Institute — a global academic platform for Islamic intellectual and civilizational thought.
We produce scholar interviews, documentary films, course content, and social media — and we’re looking for someone who can own both the shoot and the edit.
This starts as a part-time or project-based role with a clear path to full-time as our production grows.
What you’ll do:- Edit lecture recordings, scholar interviews, and short-form content for You Tube, Instagram, and our course platform
- Operate the camera on location shoots, scholars, events, and documentary production
- Primarily NJ/NY area shoots with occasional travel
- Strong editing instincts — pacing, color, storytelling
- Confident on a real shoot, not just in post
- Experience with long-form and short-form content
- Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve
- Reliable and self-directed across time zones
- Competitive pay based on experience
