Overview

The New York Post Internship Program offers a dynamic, hands‑on experience that gives interns exposure to real world work within the media and news industry. The You Tube Internship is a 24‑hour per week role that helps manage and grow the New York Post’s You Tube presence. The internship focuses on creating short news and entertainment videos that captivate an audience in a fast‑paced newsroom environment.

• Duration:
  September 14, 2026 – November 20, 2026
• Part‑time, on‑site work schedule
• Open to current juniors, seniors, graduate students, and recent graduates who completed their degree within the past year

• Assist in publishing and optimizing video content on You Tube
• Monitor news and entertainment trends to pitch and identify timely content opportunities
• Ensure videos are properly tagged, titled, and categorized
• Support the team in meeting tight deadlines in a fast‑paced newsroom environment

• Strong interest in news, especially hard news and entertainment
• Previous experience using You Tube as a content management platform (personal or professional)
• Excellent news judgment and understanding of what makes a story engaging on digital platforms
• Strong writing and communication skills
• Highly organized and deadline‑driven, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Familiarity with You Tube Studio, metadata best practices, and video analytics is a plus

• Background in journalism, communications, media, or a related field
• Experience with video editing or thumbnail creation tools
• Knowledge of copyright and fair use

Base pay: $20 per hour. Compensation may vary based on experience, skills, and location.
