DESCRIPTION
Part-Time Graphic Designer
The Theater Center, an Off-Broadway venue in the heart of Manhattan, is seeking a skilled graphic designer to provide approximately eight hours of design support each week. This person will work directly with a member of our leadership team to execute a variety of creative projects as they arise.
Responsibilities
- Turn ideas and creative direction into polished visual concepts
- Create professional mockups and renderings
- Edit, retouch, and composite photographs
- Create multiple options or revisions based on feedback
- Prepare finished files for digital use
- Assist with other graphic-design projects as needed
Qualifications
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop
- Strong portfolio demonstrating graphic design, photo compositing, and realistic mockup work
- Excellent understanding of perspective, scale, lighting, shadows, typography, and layout
- Ability to create convincing visual renderings using existing photographs
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow creative direction
- Ability to work independently and complete projects efficiently
- Proficiency in Illustrator and/or InDesign is a plus
- Experience with environmental graphics, signage, architectural visualization, or experiential design is a plus
Schedule and Compensation
- Approximately 8 hours per week
- $200 per week ($25 per hour)
- Flexible scheduling based on current projects
- Ongoing part-time position
