ARE YOU LOOKING FOR A CREATIVE INTERNSHIP?
Photographer, director, and multidisciplinary artist INDIRA CESARINE () is currently reviewing applications for a creative studio internship at her Tribeca, New York location.
The selected intern will work directly with Cesarine on photography, video, and digital content projects, including photo shoots, behind-the-scenes footage, process videos, social media content, and pr/marketing.
This is a hands‑on opportunity for someone passionate about photography, video, contemporary art, and visual culture, interested in gaining experience in a professional creative studio.
EXPERIENCE + QUALIFICATIONS- Work experience or an educational focus in photography, video production—including pre- and post-production—and/or digital content creation
- Passion for photography, video, contemporary art, and culture
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Google Docs and Google Sheets
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop
- Experience with Cap Cut
- Adobe Premiere Pro, and/or Final Cut Pro is a plus
- Experience editing Reels, behind‑the‑scenes footage, and short‑form social media content
- Experience with photography equipment, lighting, scanning, or digital archiving is beneficial
- Experience with Word Press is preferred but not required
- Fluency in English
- Organized, detail‑oriented, reliable, and comfortable assisting with a variety of creative projects
- Assisting with photography and video productions
- Supporting photo shoots and behind‑the‑scenes content creation
- Filming and editing Reels and other short‑form creative videos
- Assisting with online updates and studio communications
- Assisting with scanning, retouching, cataloging, and digital archiving
- Photography, video, and production‑related research and casting
- Assisting with exhibits, special events, and other creative projects
The internship includes a daily stipend or academic credit, if relevant.
ABOUT INDIRA CESARINEIndira Cesarine is a multidisciplinary artist, photographer, and director whose creative practice encompasses photography, video, painting, printmaking, sculpture, and installation. Her work explores themes of identity, empowerment, transformation, memory, mythology, and the human experience, with a particular focus on the evolving representation of women in contemporary culture.
A graduate of Columbia University, Cesarine also studied at Parsons School of Design, the International Center of Photography, the School of Visual Arts, the New York Film Academy, and the New York Academy of Art. She began her career at age sixteen with her first solo exhibition at the Paul Mellon Arts Center and went on to work internationally in London and Paris as a photographer for over a decade.
Her photography has been published in hundreds of international publications, including Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Marie Claire, GQ, Esquire, Glamour, and InStyle.
In 2009, Cesarine launched The Untitled Magazine, where she serves as editor‑in‑chief and oversees the publication’s creative direction and content. She contributes to the magazine as a photographer, director, journalist, and host of The UNTITLED Podcast. Her directing work includes music videos, documentary shorts, fashion films, and experimental video art.
In 2015, she founded The Untitled Space contemporary art gallery in Tribeca, where she has curated and presented an extensive program of exhibitions championing innovative contemporary artists and underrepresented voices. She is also the founder of Art4
Equality, a nonprofit initiative dedicated to advancing equality through the arts.
Cesarine’s artwork and creative productions have been presented internationally at museums, galleries, film festivals, and art fairs, including The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Hudson Valley MOCA, Mattatuck Museum, the French Embassy Cultural Center, Art Basel Miami, the Cannes Film Festival, SCOPE Art Show, and SPRING/BREAK Art Show.
Her photography and creative work have been featured internationally by media platforms including E! Entertainment, Entertainment Tonight, MTV, HBO, ITV, and Fashion One TV. She is represented for photography by Creative Space Artist Management, and her photography is syndicated internationally by Getty Images through its Contour division.
