About UsThe Daily Mail reaches more than a billion people globally every month. Renowned for its agenda-setting exclusives, breaking news, incisive commentary and in-depth investigations, we deliver a unique editorial blend spanning news, politics, showbiz, royals, lifestyle, health, sport and money.
Our reach, influence and reader loyalty make us a premium destination for more than 300,000 digital subscribers across the US, UK, Australia and beyond. We also maintain a powerful presence across social media, engaging more than 150 million followers and delivering more than six billion video views each month across Facebook, Tik Tok, Instagram, You Tube and Snapchat.
About the RoleWe are looking for an outstanding editor with sharp news judgment and a real feel for what makes a Daily Mail story — someone who can look at everything the newsroom has published in a day and know instantly which three stories a reader will actually open an email for, and how to sell them.
The Senior Newsletter Editor, US is a hands‑on role at the center of our fast-growing US newsletter portfolio, supporting the Daily Mail’s ambition to reach one million global newsletter subscribers by 2028. You will be responsible for the day‑to‑day editing, curation and production of multiple newsletters, and help shape what we launch next.
You do not need to have spent years working on newsletters, or any time sletter and email‑platform experience is genuinely useful and we will take it into account — but we would far rather hire a first‑class journalist and teach them Sailthru than hire a Sailthru operator and hope they develop news instincts. If you have run a busy news desk, edited a homepage, or built a following for a section or a beat, we want to hear from you.
You will work closely with the US Head of Newsletters & Standards, newsroom editors and reporters, the audience team and UK colleagues.
