We are looking for talented Writers to join the #1 national cable news program, Fox & Friends and Fox & Friends First. You use creative and conversational copy to pull viewers in. You know the difference between an attention-grabbing headline and burying the lead. You are also quick to jump on breaking news and a great communicator. The writer position will entail working directly with reporters and correspondents.
ASNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Write VO's, VO/SOT's and reporter stories under tight deadline pressure
- Create graphics and edit video via your desktop
- Communicate critical story information with producers and managers
- Operate as a team player
- Pitch story ideas
- Conduct thorough research on top stories
- Major market experience
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience
- Flexibility to work both weekend and weekday overnight hours
- Ability to write creatively for morning television
- Thorough knowledge of current events, US politics, geopolitics, foreign policy and history
- Ability to manage breaking news
- Someone who demonstrates initiative, is proactive and self-motivated

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $60,.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
