Responsibilities
- Write an average of two stories each day for our Fashion vertical, with an emphasis on self-styling, trend identification, and a strong market edit
- Self-shoot, edit, and post 2-3 first-person videos each week on social platforms including Instagram and Tik Tok
- Working with our social lead, oversee Shop My coverage on Instagram with the goal of boosting sales
- Monitor editorial, social, and affiliate performance to identify patterns and optimize future output
- Represent the brand on social media and other outward-facing media (e.g. TV hits), in addition to at events
- Instincts around what feels aspirational, timely, and commercially relevant
- Familiarity with the fashion retail landscape, including luxury, contemporary, and mass market
- Distinctive fashion point of view, with the ability to translate trends into accessible shopping recommendations for the Marie Claire audience
- Experience speaking directly to an audience about styling, with an emphasis on self-styling
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Experience managing social and editorial calendars
- Experience reviewing data to inform output
- Experience filming and editing social-first videos; knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and Cap Cut is a plus
