We are seeking a Bidding Producer to support our team in all things pre-sales production-related. This role will lead the production side of the RFP/bidding process and will report directly to the Head of Production and Associate Director of Production. This Producer's lead charge will be working with the Creative and Accounts teams from RFP digestion all the way through Proposal and Budget Delivery.
This role will be responsible for gauging feasibility (both production and budget-related) and thoroughly vetting all creative concepts in the pitch process for new business, drafting budgets based on industry pricing and vendor estimates, compiling production considerations to share with clients on all creative concepts, and drafting initial project timelines. This is a creative production role that will require knowledge of fabrication, implementation, staffing, etc.
You should be more than comfortable interacting with clients, working with leadership, collaboratively leading work streams with other departments, and working with vendors to get quotes. The ideal candidate will excel at simultaneously getting clients excited about creative concepts and setting project execution teams up for success. Additionally, this role will spearhead departmental research around new/innovative types of production, methodology, materiality, and implementation.
NOTE:
This role is a Pre-Sale production role, all work is in the Pre-Sale process, and no on-the-ground production or production support is required.
While our main office is located in DUMBO Brooklyn, we work as a distributed team with members reaching from Maine to LA, and everywhere in between.
This position is full-time with an initial 3-month review period.
- Oversee business development projects from a production perspective, ensuring creative integrity while maintaining operational feasibility and margin
- Establish streamlined processes around budgeting and how we think about framing budgets to create guidance for the creative team.
- Lead research around new and innovative production methods, vendors, materiality, and any other elements that impact our work both pre- and post-sale, and share findings with the broader production and creative teams
- Report directly to the Head of Business Development with a dotted line into Production Leadership. The dotted line reporting will be to ensure operational tools and protocol are guided by IN's Production Team and our established production methodologies.
- Work collaboratively with cross-departmental project teams (Creative/Design, Account Management, Content) as well as third-party vendors.
- Think strategically and proactively about client goals, event formats, and program structures from a production lens
- Utilize Invisible North's project management & communication tools
- Manage & evaluate external vendors with agency and clients' needs in mind
- Guide the creative team on production feasibility based on budget, timelines, markets, and client KPIs
- Work collaboratively with the creative team to find executional solutions and make executional recommendations that elevate creative and provide clients with budget value
- Draft budgets for new business pitches based on industry knowledge and trusted vendor estimates.
- Quickly gut check costs against creative and estimate budget ranges.
- Create production considerations and/or strategic production plans for new business pitches that showcase agency's executional skill and foresight
- Support RFP-based idea development proactively with executional strategy and budget value in mind
- Transition production work from proposal to active phases in collaboration with the Head of Production
- Hands-on creative and technical production experience, and extensive knowledge of the event production industry
