TheNerve with Maureen Callahan, one ofthefastest-growing shows on You Tube and podcast platforms,currently reaching a monthlyaudience of more than 10 million and climbing.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about pop culture, breaking news, true crime, and celebrity drama. As a Line Producer, you will be deeply involved in every step oftheproduction process, from technical setup to content creation. This role offers thechance to collaborate withan experienced production team to deliver high-quality, compelling content to our audience. What You’ll Do:Collaborate with show Host and production team on show topics:Work side-by-side withthe Executive Producer to ensure every aspect of production runs smoothly—from planning and prepping to execution.
The ability to fill in for EP when needed.
Element Gathering / Content Creation:Identify and prepare compelling visual assets to support show segments and digital content. Knowledge of Canva, iMovie, and Rundown Creator preferred.
Post-Production
:
Review full show after tapings and make edit notes where needed. Select timecodes for clips/reels, working hand-in-hand with the show's video editor to execute strong content for social media.
Social Media:Ability to write clip titles/descriptions and schedule show content across social platforms:
You Tube, Instagram, Tik Tok, X.
Research / Story Pitches
:
Conduct thorough research, gather materials, and provide valuable insights to supporttheproduction team.
Guest Booking:Pitch new guests, handle / maintain correspondence with
TheNerve's regular guests, providing all relevant show information prior to appearance - topics, zoom link or studio info.
Monitor social media and email inquiries
related tothe show to support audience engagement.
Media
Experience:
Must have
previous experience in podcasting or television news. Experience creating show rundowns and line producing a live/live-to-tape show.
Strong Writing and Communication
Skills:
Clear, concise, and professional writing for scripts, show notes, and social media.
Meticulous spelling and grammar skills for copy editing written content before it gets posted. The ability to quickly hone and write in the voice ofThe Nerve.
Post-Production:Experience working with video editors to make changes to the show and execute compelling content for social platforms.
Social Media:A firm understanding of how to navigate social media - create / schedule show content.
Pop Culture Enthusiast:A passion for all things pop culture, breaking news and true crime/celebrity justice. Familiarity with
The Nerve is a plus.
Self-Starter:Able to work independently, take initiative, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Adaptable
Schedule:
Must be flexible and have the ability to adapt to schedule changes for show tapings.
Journalism Background:An understanding of journalism and fairuse guidelines is a plus.
