Job Description & How to Apply Below
Location: New York

Haymarket Media’s Business Media Group (BMG) — home to award-winning legacy brands such as PRWeek, Campaign US, MM+M and McKnight’s — is seeking a versatile Multimedia Producer. This position is located in our New York, NY, office on a hybrid work schedule; three (3) days in office depending on business needs.

This is a collaborative role working directly with the Senior Producer. You will not just be executing tasks; you will be a key partner in producing editorial and custom video and audio content that drives our business forward. We are looking for a creator who can balance high-end production values with commercial viability, helping us unlock new revenue streams while interfacing professionally with our editors, reporters and clients.

You’ll be an integral part of the team that helps us reach our dedicated and loyal B2B audience. We need energy, creativity, a sense of team play and a positive attitude.

Job Overview:

To help establish and grow a comprehensive multimedia team within Haymarket Business Media, including cross-collaboration with the company’s medical division. Working alongside the Senior Producer and other support members from the Content Hub team, you will be tasked with filming and editing custom and editorial videos for our Studio team, as well as assisting in the recording and editing of numerous editorial and custom podcasts.

Responsibilities:
  • In-Studio Production & Recording: Own the end-to-end technical execution of our studio-based content, including the production of our weekly podcast slate (The PRWeek, The MM+M Podcast, Campaign Chemistry, and McKnight’s News makers Podcast), as well as custom podcasts and new show productions. This includes the physical setup, lighting, and breakdown of multicam gear, as well as actively engineering sessions by managing multi-mic mixes, monitoring audio levels, live camera switching to record content as live, and managing on-screen graphics like lower thirds and network bugs while the tape is rolling to ensure professional quality.
  • Remote & Live Event Recording: Serve as the technical lead on location. Handle the logistics and troubleshooting of field equipment for remote interviews, and dynamically capture high-quality on-site interviews and fast-paced sizzle reel footage during live events, incorporating live switching and graphical elements where appropriate.
  • Audio & Video Editing: Edit editorial podcasts, custom client interviews, and social media clips using professional editing software (Premiere, Final Cut, DaVinci, Logic, Audition, etc.). You are responsible for delivering polished assets for both audio and video platforms.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside editorial teams, commercial staff and clients during recordings to ensure their specific vision is captured correctly. You will help storyboard content ideas, script intros/outros and coach talent on delivery for both journalistic episodes and custom brand content to maintain high-quality delivery across the board.
  • Commercial Impact & Growth: You view content as an asset. You will actively collaborate with the team to identify and structure sponsorship opportunities across the content we create. You will help brainstorm and execute formats that allow our clients to be seen and heard, driving revenue without sacrificing the quality of the narrative.
  • Content Logistics: Manage podcast publishing workflows, including RSS feed management, ad insertion and commercial campaign tracking.
  • Internal Support: Assist with technical needs for internal live video, town halls and events.
Skills and Requirements:
  • Experience: 3-5 years in multimedia production, with specific, hands‑on experience setting up and operating within an audio, video, podcast, or broadcast studio environment.
