The Clay and Buck Show is one of America's most-listened-to radio programs, heard across 570+ U.S. radio stations, on SiriusXM, You Tube and other distribution outlets. The same program is released in podcast form for on‑demand listening. The Associate Producer plays an important role in the preparation of materials and content research for the daily program, in addition to being a vital part of the program during its daily live broadcast creation.

The individual who fills this role is expected to know and provide the following:

• An ongoing knowledge of the audience and their expectations for both information and entertainment while listening / viewing the program.
• An excellent knowledge of current events in U.S. and world politics, news events across the U.S. and world.
• The ability to determine the most impactful words shared from individuals who are a part of news stories or those covering them, elected politicians, appointed government officials, commentators appearing in television and radio programs, podcasts and speaking events and edit them to be made ready for consideration to be aired within the radio program.
• The ability to work quickly to find and obtain audio originating from events happening in real‑time during the programs' broadcasts and make them available ASAP for the hosts consideration.
• The ability to transcribe the words selected for possible airing and providing a proper context who and where the words originated from in summary form for the hosts to consider using and the other producers of the program to work alongside of.
