The New Yorker is seeking a creative and highly collaborative Social-Media Editor to help shape how the magazine's journalism appears across social platforms. This editor will work closely with colleagues across editorial, art, photo, video, audience, and analytics to develop compelling, platform-native expressions of The New Yorker's stories as well as social-native brand extensions, mindful that these venues mark many visitors' principal encounter with the brand.

The person in this role will help develop social-first treatments, recurring formats, video and visual storytelling approaches, and platform-specific executions that extend the reach and impact of The New Yorker's journalism while preserving the magazine's voice, standards, and sensibility.
The ideal candidate is comfortable moving between creative development and hands-on production. This is a Guild position.
