Starlight City Pictures is looking to bring a team of united states-based directors onboard to develop and direct upcoming short films. We are looking for just about any filmmaker with a strong desire to tell any kind of story, with a strong sense of pacing, character development, atmospheres, and, above all, a vision. This is a general job call so we can develop relationships with directors as production cycles launch and future slate releases begin development.

Offers

• Equal co-billing (Writers and Directors are slated and credited together on films they collaborated to make for all releases and submissions, including marketing materials, e.g. a [writer name] and [director name] film.)
• A fixed, one-time flat stipend/production fee per directed film decided together, finalized through a standard contributor agreement, plus backend revenue share.
• A flat one-time payment for the film's budget.

Seeking

• Directors with strong portfolios and/or reels showcasing narrative depth and solid visuals.
• Directors who can develop a very cohesive and compelling narrative.
• Directors with a strong passion for storytelling
• Directors with the ability to manage local indie production, scouting, and casting within the United States
• a strong portfolio and reel (both preferred, but either is acceptable)
• a screenplay in progress or completed draft (optional, but to show your narrative skill
