Summary

Support the editorial team by preparing, scheduling, and publishing stories in the CMS while helping manage Hodinkee’s Instagram presence. This hybrid role balances editorial publishing operations, social media scheduling, and basic asset editing to ensure content is accurate, polished, and published on time. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work quickly in a fast-paced newsroom environment.

• Format, proofread, and upload articles in the CMS to ensure accuracy and consistency across published stories
• Manage the editorial publishing calendar and schedule content to go live on time
• Perform quality control checks on grammar, formatting, links, and visual elements before publication
• Assist with Instagram operations including scheduling posts, uploading content, writing captions, and monitoring engagement
• Coordinate daily workflow among writers, editors, and social stakeholders to meet deadlines
• Edit and optimize visual assets using basic Photoshop or Lightroom skills
• Maintain digital content systems, archives, and metadata to support efficient newsroom operations

• 3+ years managing digital content within CMS platforms, preferably in a newsroom-style environment
• Proven experience coordinating editorial calendars, publishing workflows, and cross-functional content operations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong proofreading ability
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines in a high-volume environment
• Proficiency with basic photo editing in Adobe Photoshop and/or Lightroom
• Strong multitasking skills and a demonstrated interest in watch culture
