Shrimpton Studio is looking for a Head of New Business to help establish the studio as a leading creative production partner for brands, agencies and publications shooting in Southern California.
Founded by Sarah Cobb-Shrimpton and Ben Shrimpton, Shrimpton Studio is the woman-owned production arm of Shrimpton Agency. Between us, we have spent more than twenty years shaping the visual language of fashion, beauty and lifestyle brands.
We lead the complete creative journey—from concept development and art direction through location scouting, casting, production and post-production. Our particular strength is helping brands harness California’s distinctive light, architecture, landscapes and production talent without the expense and complexity of bringing an entire team with them.
We are now looking for someone who can turn that proposition into a consistent and ambitious new-business pipeline.
The roleThis is a senior, commercially focused role for someone who understands how creative work is commissioned and how strong relationships are built over time.
You will be responsible for introducing Shrimpton Studio to brands, creative agencies, photographers, art directors, producers, fashion houses, beauty companies, hospitality groups and publications in the US, UK and Europe.
The role is not simply about sending cold emails or responding to inbound enquiries. We want someone who can help define where the studio should compete, identify the clients and collaborators most likely to value what we offer, and create thoughtful reasons for them to work with us.
You will work closely with Sarah and Ben to shape the studio’s commercial positioning, package its services and translate its creative capabilities into clear, compelling opportunities for prospective clients.

- Develop partnerships with photographers, directors, production companies, location agencies and other complementary creative businesses.
- Represent Shrimpton Studio at relevant industry events, meetings and portfolio presentations.
- Manage opportunities from initial introduction through briefing, proposal, negotiation and handover into production.
- Maintain a disciplined CRM and provide clear visibility into conversations, opportunities and projected revenue.
- Help refine credentials, case studies, pitch materials, service packages and commercial proposals.
- Work with Shrimpton Agency to identify opportunities where creative production, brand, ecommerce and digital services can support one another.
- Bring informed feedback from the market into the studio’s positioning and future development.
You will probably come from creative production, photography, fashion, advertising, branded content, talent representation or an adjacent agency environment.
