Job Description:About the Role:
The Talent Scout / Host identifies, secures, and hosts top-tier talent for The Trust at The Wall Street Journal-bringing WSJ-level credibility, warmth, and authority to live and filmed experiences. This role requires 12+ years of experience across talent booking, interviewing, hosting, or programming within media, events, or branded content environments.
You Will:- Source and cultivate relationships with creators, executives, cultural leaders, and category experts, with a focus on C-suite and high-profile talent.
- Lead outreach, pitching, negotiation, and deal-making in partnership with internal stakeholders.
- Host and moderate onstage and on-camera conversations, delivering thoughtful, well-paced discussions aligned with audience and brand objectives.
- Prepare detailed briefs, interview questions, and run-of-show materials to ensure seamless execution.
- Manage logistics including scheduling, talent prep, approvals, and coordination across teams.
- Uphold the premium editorial standards, authority, and professionalism associated with WSJ.
- 10+ years of experience in talent booking, hosting, interviewing, or programming across media, live events, or branded content.
- Proven network with access to senior executives, cultural leaders, and industry influencers.
- Exceptional live interviewing and moderation skills, with strong editorial judgment.
- Comfort engaging high-profile and C-suite talent in both live and filmed settings.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple work streams and timelines.
- Polished, credible on-camera and onstage presence aligned with a premium media brand.
