Internship Opportunity at the Theater Center Fall 2026

The Theater Center (located at 1627 Broadway @ 50th Street) is seeking motivated interns for Fall 2026.

Commit to a fixed schedule of 10 hours per week for 10 weeks (two 5-hour days), September 28th thru December 4th (with some flexibility at beginning and end of internship and holidays ) during working hours (M-F, 10am-6pm).

The primary project for the Fall 2026 cohort of interns will be to help curate, organize, and manage The Theater Center’s Making It Happen:
Festival of 10 Minute Plays. This is a great opportunity to get hands‑on experience producing a theatrical event from submission to final performances.

The festival dates are as follows:

Submissions due by October 12th and then selected plays will perform at The Theater Center on one of three preliminary performance nights. Interns must be available for at least two of the Wednesday nights:

Audiences and judges will vote to determine one winner from each night. The winners will advance to the Finals on Wednesday, December 2nd.

In addition, interns will actively contribute to one or more of the following areas of their choosing:

• Marketing
• Public Relations
• Graphic Design
• Video Production
• Social Media
• Theater Management
• Sponsorship
• Sound, Lighting or Wardrobe
• Stage Management

This is a learning by working opportunity. No coffee runs or errands here! We are looking for self-starters who also like being part of a team.

A $300 honorarium will be provided upon completion of the internship .
