The Bridal Restoration Seamstress (Contract) is responsible for restoring, altering, and refinishing bridal gowns and separates to meet brand standards and client expectations. Day-to-day tasks include performing detailed alterations, hand and machine sewing, repairing delicate fabrics and embellishments, and ensuring proper fit and drape for a range of bridal styles. The role also involves assessing garment condition, providing recommendations for restoration, documenting work, and collaborating with Alaundra Bridal's founder on design direction, timelines, and quality requirements.

This role requires a private studio or workspace where brides can come for in-person fittings — bridal alterations cannot be completed remotely. At least two in-person fitting sessions are required per gown, billed separately from the alteration work itself. Sourcing, guidance notes, and design direction are provided digitally by Alaundra Bridal; the fitting and hands-on work happen in person, in the seamstress's own space, with the bride present.

The seamstress is expected to maintain high-quality workmanship, consistent turnaround times, and professional, responsive communication.

• Candidates should possess advanced bridal alterations and tailoring skills, including hand and machine sewing, fitting, and garment construction.
• Candidates should possess expertise working with delicate and specialty fabrics (e.g., silk, chiffon, lace, tulle) and handling embellishments such as beading, appliqué, and embroidery.
• Candidates should possess strong garment restoration skills, including stain treatment, structural repairs, reshaping hems and seams, and reinforcing closures.
• Candidates should possess excellent attention to detail, quality control skills, and the ability to follow brand guidelines and design specifications.
• Candidates should possess effective collaboration skills, including clear written communication, the ability to share and review photos/videos, and reliable time management for meeting deadlines.
• Professional experience as a bridal seamstress, tailor, or couture alterations specialist is strongly preferred.
• Access to a private studio or workspace where brides can be received for in-person fittings, pickup, and drop-off is required.
• Experience working with destination, minimalist, or contemporary bridal designs is a plus.

Paid per project, based on the scope of work for each gown. Fitting sessions are billed separately from restoration work. Structure includes a deposit paid before work begins, with the balance paid upon completion and photo approval.
